Seat Control
This example application diagram shows a full-featured seat module in which various seat adjustment motors are controlled electronically. This module can be connected to the body network (e.g. central body computer) via either the LIN or CAN bus.
The diagram shows the powerful XC2264 16/32-bit microcontroller, but an 8-bit microcontroller from the XC800 family is also suitable for system with lower requirements.
To control the electrical DC motors inside the seat, the diagram proposes a mix of cascaded integrated half-bridges from the TrilithIC family and cascaded integrated half-bridges from the NovalithIC family for the high power motors. Integrated High-Side drivers from the PROFET family are used for to control additional functions such as massage motors, cooling fan, and seat heating.
